My Mission

I have spent years studying the human body and working with everyone from professional athletes to busy executives. My conclusion? Our understanding of pain, injury and the recovery process are all wrong. I have looked for answers in everything from Rolfing, strength training, connective tissue biology, massage, pain science, “biohacking”, biomechanics, bio-tech equipment, and everything in between. The good news? There are clear, science-backed approaches to tissue repair and injury recovery. The bad? There is no magic pill, quick fix, or magical healer out there to help you shortcut the process.  That’s why I created Structural Therapeutics: to give people the tools and information necessary to heal their bodies. Nobody can do it for you, but you certainly don’t have to do it alone. My method blends foundational joint strengthening & mobility, hands on deep-tissue release, and precise strength training to increase coordination and capacity. I customize every program to the individuals injury history and patterns of compensation. The Structural Therapeutics method is a comprehensive system to help people through every step of the journey from fragility to robust capability. My goal is to help as many people as possible get out of pain and back to the activities they love. Hopefully I will teach them something about their bodies along the way.

I have always been an active person. From skiing, to rock climbing, to gymnastics and hand balancing; I have always enjoyed contorting my body into weird shapes and throwing myself off of tall things. Naturally with such pursuits, come injuries. Years ago I worked with a Rolfer to overcome some nagging issues I had in my body. He opened my eyes to how interesting and complex the human system is. This led me to to study and practice Rolfing Structural Integration for many years. Deep tissue work is fantastic for fixing many issues within the body, but not all. For true integration and recovery, I realized movement is a critical piece of the healing process. I have studied extensively with different movement and strength-based practices to create a unique offering that I see as combining the best science-backed practices from corrective exercise, manual therapy, and personal training. I am passionate about helping people achieve physical freedom and higher levels of tissue-capacity well into old age. Whether leading a group mobility and joint prep class or working one on one with someone to pick apart a chronic injury; I am happiest helping people take ownership of their bodies.
